Cassava is a tuberous root of a tropical woody shrub, used as a major source of food; mainly in tropical areas. Our Cassava is 100% organically grown in their natural cycle without using any fertilizers.

Fresh whole Cassava tubers are harvested, washed, peeled, grated and blended into a paste-like consistency where it is then filtered, dried and sifted with utmost care to be the Organic Cassava Flour you see in the package.

No chemicals or preservatives are used throughout the entire production of AKN Organics Cassava Flour.

  • Cassava flour is made from the whole, white part of the cassava root. The root is dried and finely ground to produce a finely textured gluten-free flour that you can use in many of the same products that might otherwise require wheat flour.

  • Tapioca starch is more highly processed as it consists only of the starch from the cassava root isolated from the rest of the root. The root is grated, bleached ,washed and pulped to produce starchy water. That water is evaporated and the white residue that left behind is tapioca starch.

  • As cassava flour contains the whole root, it has more fiber when compared to tapioca starch. Besides being beneficial for your health, fiber can also improve the texture of some baked goods by acting as a substitute for gluten. Cassava flour has a reputation for being the most similar to wheat flour of all the gluten-free flours.

  • 99% Fat-free.

  • Gluten-free Flour, Nut-free, GMO-free

  • Great source of carbohydrates.

  • Suitable for Paleo Diets.

  • Cassava Flour can be replaced on a 1:1 basis with wheat flour in most recipes.

  • Cassava Flour has a neutral taste and not grainy or gritty in texture, unlike other gluten-free flour replacements.
